Job Title: Controls Engineer

At BluePrint Automation, we are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for programming, initializing, and testing packaging machines. You will also provide technical support to our customers and develop design, specifications, and control schemes for automation equipment and integration between automation and information systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement automation logic to control packaging machines and communicate information between systems over networks.
  • Approve electrical/control-wiring schematics for packaging systems and develop Human Machine Interface (HMI) to meet functional requirements.
  • Mentor junior-level engineers in areas of expertise and assure high quality in the testing phase.
  • Make customer site visits as necessary to help solve in-field issues and participate in lessons-learned meetings with team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science, or a related field with motion controls in the packaging automation industry.
  • Demonstrated ability in programming motion control systems and robotic machines.
  • Demonstrated competence with robotic and PLC programming (Ladder and structured text).
  • Demonstrated competence with Keba Robotics platform and strong knowledge of ControlLogix PLC.
  • Ability to interact with clients from project initiation through the entire development and manufacturing process.
