Shipboard Surface Engineering Expert

Tech-Marine Business Inc is seeking a highly skilled Shipboard Surface Engineering Expert to support Team Ships Front Office (TSFO) in various capacities. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of ship systems and modernization, with a strong background in surface engineering.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on location and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated support services to the Flag Officer, Executive Director, and Chief of Staff for the Director, Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization & Sustainment (SEA 21).
  • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives that focus on improving and optimizing surface ship systems and modernization planning, execution, and oversight.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives that focus on improved business practices and data utilization.
  • Proactively and re-actively respond to short and long-term tasking from SEA 21 Leadership, coordinating as necessary with stakeholders.
  • Provide analytical support to include Flag level strategy planning, communication approaches, brief development, knowledge management, and process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must have an active DOD Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent U.S. military service experience.
  • Must have been a US Navy CWO/LDO in the Surface Ship Engineering field of expertise.
  • 15 years of direct experience in U.S Navy ship systems operations, training, maintenance, and modernization.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • MS Suite skill – Specifically Power Point, Word, Access, and Excel.
  • Proactive and excellent customer service with management experience.
