About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at TrueCare. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take and record vital signs and medical histories
  • Prepare patients for examination and assist healthcare providers during procedures
  • Draw blood and administer medications as needed
  • Perform administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, registering new patients, and scheduling appointments
  • Collect and post fees, and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and healthcare operations
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in a healthcare-related field
  • 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
  • 6 months of experience with documentation in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
  • Phlebotomy training
Certifications
  • Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited school
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
