Key Responsibilities- Take and record vital signs and medical histories
- Prepare patients for examination and assist healthcare providers during procedures
- Draw blood and administer medications as needed
- Perform administrative tasks, including answering phone calls, registering new patients, and scheduling appointments
- Collect and post fees, and maintain accurate records
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
- Knowledge of medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and healthcare operations
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Associate Degree in a healthcare-related field
- 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
- 6 months of experience with documentation in an Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Phlebotomy training
- Medical Assistant Certificate from an accredited school
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
