Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented CT Technologist Trainee to join our team at Alta Hospitals. As a CT Technologist Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the performance of diagnostic radiologic procedures and ensuring optimal imaging results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the performance of CT/diagnostic radiologic procedures, ensuring optimal imaging results.
  • Ensure patient identity using appropriate patient identifiers and follow hospital policy.
  • Coordinate patient requirements during diagnostic procedures and/or transportation to ensure patient safety.
  • Maintain a sterile environment during invasive procedures and utilize effective PPE as necessary.
  • Apply radiation safety practices, such as the ALARA model, to minimize exposure.
  • Ensure Infection Control procedures and HIPAA compliance.
  • Empathize with patients and their support systems, expressing compassion and understanding for their situation.
  • Assume responsibility for ancillary tasks, such as documentation of charges and ordering of supplies.
  • Monitor patients, diagnostic procedures, and equipment, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal results.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of California.
  • Recent graduate.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Fluoroscopy license/certification.
  • AHA Basic Life Support.
  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families.
  • ARRT advanced certification.
  • Venipuncture certification.
