Job Summary
The Perioperative Registered Nurse / RN is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for the patient in the surgical suite. The Perioperative Registered Nurse / RN demonstrates competence in the planning of care for the patient throughout the perioperative process.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care in the surgical suite
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
- Participate in patient and family teaching
- Provide leadership and guidance to other nursing staff
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current state licensure or eligibility to do so
- BLS certification
- AORN Certification preferred
- ACLS or PALS optional
