Medical Imaging Equipment Specialist

TriMedx is seeking a skilled Imaging Equipment Technician III to join our team. As a key member of our Clinical Engineering team, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and verifying the performance of complex medical imaging equipment in various specialty areas.
Key Responsibilities- Perform performance assurance inspections, scheduled maintenance, and operation verification procedures on complex medical imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Repair, install, and calibrate complex medical imaging equipment and systems, utilizing advanced technical skills and knowledge of medical imaging technology.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and customers to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks, and to address any equipment-related issues or concerns.
- Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and outside service technicians to ensure seamless service delivery and to resolve any technical issues that may arise.
- Maintain Clinical Engineering expertise through ongoing training and education, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in medical imaging technology.
- Lead Service Operations Special Projects and contribute to the development of others through mentoring and sharing expertise, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database, including inventory, performance assurance schedules, nomenclature, and service history, to maintain regulatory compliance and patient safety.
- Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan, including regulatory agency compliances and other applicable policies and procedures, to ensure a safe and effective service delivery.
- Responsible for ensuring all service and documentation is complete, timely, and accurate, to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and trust.
- Work closely with Medical Physicist to ensure accurate and aligned radiation outputs, maintaining regulatory compliance and patient safety.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, discussing equipment status and functionality to ensure their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Communicate effectively with clinicians to discuss equipment status and functionality, ensuring seamless integration of medical imaging equipment into clinical workflows.
- Adhere to the Mission, Vision, and Values of TriMedx, demonstrating a commitment to excellence, integrity, and customer satisfaction in all aspects of job performance.
- Provide a positive representation of TriMedx services, integrating the core values into job performance to promote a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Perform periodic inspections of current inventory status, maintaining a common failure parts inventory to ensure equipment uptime and minimize downtime.
- Verify the completion of security analysis for new customer equipment, ensuring a secure and compliant service delivery.
- Perform Incoming Inspections to maintain a complete and accurate inventory of medical devices, ensuring a seamless service delivery.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the equipment database, ensuring a safe and effective service delivery.
- Make recommendations regarding inventory, ensuring a proactive and efficient service delivery.
- Associates degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent military training required.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering technology preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of medical imaging equipment.
- Frequently required to reach, pull, and/or employ fine motor skills during the installation, servicing, and maintenance of medical equipment.
- Frequently required to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, balance, or otherwise maneuver body while servicing and/or inspecting medical equipment.
- Frequently required to operate tools/machinery that use hand and/or foot controls.
- Frequently required to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 lbs while working with medical equipment.
- Associates degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent military experience or two years of equivalent experience.
- Complex computer skills, including the ability to interpret error codes, defragment hard-drives, replace power supplies, and interpret computer codes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and networking applications required.
- Ability to integrate information from a variety of sources.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
