Key Responsibilities:

The InfoSec Human-Centric Cybersecurity (HCC) team is in search of an Instructional Designer with a solid foundation in educational psychology to help shape the way individuals operate by developing engaging content that fosters positive behavioral change and enhances cybersecurity awareness. The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess strong visual thinking skills, utilizing techniques like storyboarding and sketching to convey design concepts.
  • Showcase exceptional interaction skills, with a history of implementing user interface standards and creating dynamic, engaging interfaces.
  • Be detail-oriented, capable of critical thinking, and provide innovative solutions to complex challenges while considering technical and business constraints.
  • Exhibit excellent time management abilities, adapting to the dynamic priorities of the organization while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality.

What You Will Accomplish:
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop technical content tailored for optimal learning, retention, and behavioral change; curate and organize various training formats.
  • Create compelling content that articulates and promotes the team's vision and mission, including various training modalities and awareness initiatives.
  • Develop storyboards and instructional graphics for internal training and awareness materials.
  • Conduct thorough instructional research and analysis to understand learners and their contexts.
  • Apply proven instructional design theories and methods to facilitate behavioral change through engaging exercises and activities.
  • Produce supplementary materials such as audio, video, simulations, and interactive content.
  • Establish criteria for evaluating requirements aimed at driving behavioral change among target audiences.
  • Assist in crafting awareness campaigns with a focus on engagement and behavioral transformation.
  • Uphold a high level of professionalism when handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Engage in additional content creation and administrative tasks as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in educational psychology, Instructional Design, Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience (UX), or a related field, along with three years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with two years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of educational psychology principles.
  • Proficiency in Articulate 360, Elucidat, SharePoint, and HTML/CSS.
  • A desire to learn or prior experience in the cybersecurity or information technology sectors.
  • A keen eye for detail, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation, combined with a creative mindset.
  • Visual design skills, including proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator, with the ability to create storyboards.
  • Capability to write concise, persuasive instructional text and scripts that engage users and drive action.
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and writing for screen readers.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
  • Experience in writing and editing in AP Style, with the ability to provide content samples.
  • Strong project management skills, including the coordination of complex meetings and schedules.
  • Thorough proofreading and editing capabilities.
