Key Responsibilities:
- Assist therapists in the treatment of patients, under direct supervision, including but not limited to:
- Preparing hot and cold packs.
- Setting up exercise equipment tailored to individual patient needs.
- Monitoring patient exercise routines and form as directed by therapists.
- Maintaining cleanliness in the treatment area post-session.
- Adhere to flexible work schedules designed to optimize patient care and volume, which may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Perform front desk duties, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, patient registration, insurance verification, charge entry, payment processing, and daily reconciliation.
- Manage laundry duties (if applicable) to ensure cleanliness of towels, gowns, and other materials.
- Regularly clean treatment equipment and areas after each patient use.
- Attend monthly staff meetings or obtain meeting agendas from management if unable to attend.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Carry out additional related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a high school diploma is required for the PT Aide position.
Physical Requirements:
According to the US Department of Labor, the physical demands for this role are categorized as medium strength. Candidates must possess adequate physical strength to assist with various activities.
Skills Required:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact positively with staff, patients, family members, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
