Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider - Trauma Physiatry

OU Health is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team in Trauma Physiatry. As an APP, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to patients in a dual role of outpatient and/or inpatient setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, treat, manage, educate, and promote health for patients and families with acute and chronic health needs.
  • Work with administrative, nursing, physician, and university faculty to ensure safe, effective, and quality patient care.
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and alter the plan of care as needed.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, concise, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing or Master's in Physician Assistant Services.
  • 3 or more years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in designated specialty preferred.
  • Must have prescriptive authority within 6 months of hire.
  • Active RN and APNP license in State of Oklahoma (for Nurse Practitioners) or Active PA license in State of Oklahoma (for Physician Assistants).
  • Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC and/or the AANP (for Nurse Practitioners) or Active Physician Assistant certification issued by the NCCPA (for Physician Assistants).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of etiologies, risk factors, pathophysiology, presentation, and epidemiology of medical conditions.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of clinical expertise in working with patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in procedural skills pertinent to practice area.
