We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at New Story School. As a leader in special and alternative education, we provide a supportive and inclusive environment where our students can thrive.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of our students.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate with support staff and parents to create a welcoming and engaging learning environment.
  • Advocate for students with disabilities and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date on best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field.
  • Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
