Job Summary

Catholic Charities seeks a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our preschool program, you will be responsible for implementing curriculum and assessments, supervising assistant teachers, and ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum and assessments that align with the CT Early Learning and Development Standards
  • Supervise and support assistant teachers in their daily tasks and activities
  • Ensure compliance with NAEYC, state, and local regulations and policies
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and development
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to plan and implement experiences for young children
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Minimum 1 semester of student teaching experience with preschool-aged children
  • Child CPR/First Aid certification
  • Ability to work well with children, families, and staff
