Job Summary

A Diagnostic Medical Sonographer is a skilled healthcare professional responsible for performing and interpreting ultrasound examinations to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions. We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Ultrasound MFM Technologist to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient anatomy and physiology to determine the most effective ultrasound examination protocols.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Perform and interpret ultrasound examinations to identify normal and abnormal tissue, structures, and blood flow.
  • Document examination findings and patient data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
  • Current certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in Obstetrics (OB) and Fetal Echocardiography (FE).
  • Minimum one year of experience as an MFM Sonographer, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
