Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our healthcare professionals and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical services. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Escorting patients to exam rooms, interviewing patients, recording vitals, and documenting all information in patients' charts.
  • Performing medication reconciliation with patients as needed.
  • Obtaining information from patients related to their reason for visit and documenting appropriately in the patient's medical record.
  • Assisting physicians and physician assistants during exams and procedures as required.
  • Providing prescriptions, education forms, and notes to patients as instructed by physicians or physician assistants.
  • Ensuring all related results, labs, MRI, etc. are scanned into patients' charts prior to their appointments.
  • Maintaining exam rooms clean and stocked with adequate medical supplies, checking expiration dates, and maintaining instruments.
  • Supporting DME fitting and providing coverage as needed.
  • Participating in MIPS/MACRA and other quality assurance programs.
  • Traveling to satellite offices as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting (medical assistant certification preferred).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic medical records.
