Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Kennel Attendant. The primary responsibility of the Kennel Attendant is to address the daily needs of our patients within the hospital. A successful candidate will have a genuine love for animals and a strong commitment to their care and comfort. This role also places significant importance on cleanliness in addition to animal care.

An ideal candidate will perceive this as an entry-level opportunity within a busy veterinary environment and will have aspirations for professional advancement.


Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care to patients, ensuring their safety at all times
- Groom and maintain the hygiene of dogs and cats, including bathing, brushing, and nail trimming
- Document and communicate important observations regarding patient conditions
- Thoroughly clean all patient enclosures, treatment areas, and kennel spaces on a daily basis
- Safely escort patients in our secure outdoor area
- Assist in the timely cleaning of examination rooms to prepare for subsequent clients/patients when necessary
- Manage inventory and restocking of supplies
- Complete end-of-day checklists

Qualifications and Skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and take initiative
- Capacity to perform well in high-pressure situations while making informed decisions
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Strong prioritization and efficiency skills
- Must be capable of lifting patients weighing up to 40 pounds independently, and over 50 pounds with assistance
