Job Summary

The Cyber Security Cloud Engineer is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company-wide information and security technologies. Provides input for architecting, implementing, and administering security technologies. Ensures applications and infrastructure services are designed and implemented to the highest security standards for both the on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a subject matter expert for technical solutions which include but are not limited to next generation firewalls, VPN, cloud technologies, and web application firewalls (WAF).
  • Participate in a 24/7 operational environment and may require working outside of normal business hours and/or alternate shifts including occasional evening and/or weekends.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related technical field; Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Three to five (3-5) years as a Cyber Security Analyst, Cyber Security Engineer, Network Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Network Security Engineer or equivalent technical role required.
  • Three (3+) or more years working with AWS, AWS concepts, and fluency with AWS API's and command line tools required.
  • Three (3+) or more years cybersecurity experience including risk assessments, secure web architecture, and cloud security posture management required.
  • Five (5+) or more years of advanced working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems required.
  • Demonstrated experience with the capabilities and APIs of multiple major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, Google) required.
  • Implementing and operating security related tooling such as SIEM, OSquery, certificate management, and SOAR required.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining cloud-based systems and applications in Amazon Web Services required.
  • Experience with DevSecOps and Agile development including tooling, GIT, CI/CD pipelines, container security preferred.
  • Experience in a hospital or health care related organization of similar size and complexity preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with network security technologies. Examples include but are not limited to Next-Gen firewalls, WAF, NAC, SSE, and SASE preferred.
  • Experience writing standard operating procedures, systems requirements, and general documentation.
  • Strong working knowledge of software defined lifecycle, automation tools, and orchestration preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to gauge the audience and speak at appropriate levels. The ability to put complex concepts in a clear and concise form required.
  • Excellent time management skills required, ability to set priorities and meet obligations in a timely manner.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Current CA driver's license required for local travel.
  • Two or more of the following certifications OR business defined equivalent certifications required:
  • ISC2 CCSP
  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • AWS Certified Security Specialist

Preferred Certifications

  • PCNSA
  • PCNSE
  • CCNP
