Job Summary

As a Medical Equipment Repairer in the Army National Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring that medical equipment is functioning properly to provide the best possible healthcare to Soldiers. Your expertise will involve servicing and maintaining a wide range of medical equipment, from mechanical to electronic and digital systems. You will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance checks, troubleshooting malfunctions, and installing new equipment. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain medical equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctions in medical equipment
• Install and configure new medical equipment
• Prepare and submit reports on medical equipment maintenance and repairs

Requirements

• Experience working with electronic equipment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

What You'll Learn

Through your training, you will develop the skills and knowledge to become a certified electronics technician and gain experience in a variety of industries, including medical research, satellite communications, and commercial airline companies. You will learn to use and maintain electrical and electronic test equipment, perform equipment repair exercises, and develop strong problem-solving skills.

Job training for a Medical Equipment Repairer consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training and 41 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, including hands-on practice in repairing and replacing equipment parts.
