About the Role

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a skilled Newborn Hearing Screen Technician to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in the early detection of hearing loss in newborns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct newborn hearing screens in hospital settings, providing accurate and timely results.
  • Work closely with parents and healthcare teams to educate them on the importance of hearing screening and provide support as needed.
  • Enter patient data and validate hearing screen results, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital and company protocols.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned, including equipment maintenance, training new staff, and assisting with outpatient appointments.
Requirements
  • Experience working with infants and in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to perform accurate data entry are required.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and as part of a team is necessary.
  • Flexibility to work weekends and national holidays is required.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds is necessary.
