The Role

As a Construction Services Assistant Project Engineer Intern, you'll:

  • Assist with bid solicitation, including organizing documents, engaging trade partners, and attending pre-bid meetings.
  • Generate bid listings, quantity takeoffs, construction schedules, and detailed estimate reports.
  • Contribute to bid day efforts by evaluating bids and identifying areas of risk and opportunity.
  • Participate in job cost setups, project execution planning, and check-ins with on-site field teams.
Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in building construction management, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excel in verbal and written communication, with the ability to lead by example.
  • Are proactive problem-solvers with a self-starter mentality.
  • Have a strong work ethic and dedication to meeting deadlines.
  • Can see the big picture while focusing on details.
  • Are comfortable with technology and willing to learn new software.
  • Are able to work full-time in our Lansing office.
