Job Overview

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer Lead to join our team in Portland, OR. This role requires technical expertise in power utility electronic communications and experience leading technical personnel.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer Lead to provide technical oversight and guidance to our T&D support staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and leadership skills. This position involves serving as a company expert in a specialized field, providing authoritative consultation and recommendations to senior management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and modifying policies and practices to improve the safety of personnel, protection of company equipment, and the reliability of PacifiCorp's transmission and distribution system. They will also lead the development and implementation of processes and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance to the T&D support staff.
  • Serve as the Company expert in a specialized field and provide authoritative consultation and recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop and modify policies and practices to improve the safety of personnel, protection of company equipment, and the reliability of PacifiCorp's transmission and distribution system.
  • Lead the development and implementation of processes and procedures to enhance operational effectiveness.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 15 years of directly related power utility electronic communications industry experience.
  • Project management and leadership skills including the ability to work as a team member, maintain project timelines, budgets, and deliver on commitments.
Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of $115,900-$136,300 per year. Additional benefits include health care, retirement, paid time off, tuition assistance, paid short-term and long-term disability, paid bereavement leave, and more.
