Job Title: Research Program Manager, Instagram

Meta is seeking a highly skilled Research Program Manager to join our team in Instagram. As a Research Program Manager, you will be responsible for building and scaling global research programs to strengthen the impact of our research teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and manage strategic initiatives that improve team efficiency and impact, establishing operational systems and outcomes.
  • Proactively identify and partner with stakeholders on internal processes, templates, and guidelines to improve team optimization and documentation.
  • Partner with team leadership on establishing effective team communication, information distribution, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Proactively manage expectations: define clear program roadmaps, provide frequent program updates, identify and communicate risks and adjustments, and ensure commitments are delivered.
  • Support research planning and allocation by helping track, align and forecast team budget.
  • Manage relationships with cross-functional partners, such as Design, Legal, and Policy.
  • Manage vendor engagements advocating for cost-effective, high quality performance that maximizes quality, velocity and timeliness of insights and deliverables.
  • Support and execute special team projects that build culture and drive clarity of purpose.
  • Provide flexible approaches that meet team needs, including the ability to move fast and make progress or navigate blocks quickly.
  • Serve as a link to the Global Research Ops team, leveraging new processes or best practices when relevant and collaborating on programs specific to the team's needs.
  • Facilitate relationships between teams, move initiatives forward, find resources, escalate and raise concerns to appropriate owners early and resolve open issues that prevent progress.
Requirements:
  • 9+ years of relevant professional experience and 5+ years of project or program management experience.
  • Experience with establishing programs and leading them end-to-end while scaling for growth.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Experience building relationships with peers and senior stakeholders and collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.
  • Proven track record of operating independently and taking initiative, embracing ambiguity, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner.
  • Experience being successful in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires independent time management, task prioritization, flexibility, and experience identifying problems and proactively work towards solutions.
  • Experience communicating, interacting with, and influencing researchers, cross functional stakeholders, senior management, and external partners with the experience adapting communication style to suit different audiences.
  • Experience articulating a vision that inspires researchers and leadership.
  • Experience communicating with data to drive change.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working directly with UX researchers, product designers, and/or content strategists.
  • Experience managing org-wide budgets.
  • Advanced executive communication skills.
  • Advanced executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep bench of (1) organization and (2) prioritization approaches and frameworks.
Compensation:

$142,000/year to $202,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
