We are seeking dedicated Material Handlers for both 1st and 2nd shifts.

Position Overview: The Material Handler is responsible for executing both manual and administrative tasks associated with the retrieval and verification of materials and supplies for production orders. This role involves maintaining in-process inventory at workstations by delivering necessary supplies and components to assembly lines. Additionally, Material Handlers manage incoming materials and supplies, ensuring that loading areas and machinery are kept clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

  • · Deliver Work in Progress (WIP) materials to assembly lines to facilitate the production process.
  • · Organize and monitor inventory while accurately documenting stock, material, or order movements.
  • · Load and unload packages efficiently.
  • · Analyze production orders to confirm the correct quantities and materials are supplied.
  • · Inspect incoming materials for any damage or shortages and communicate with the area lead to resolve issues.
  • · Complete necessary paperwork or forms for documentation purposes.
  • · Determine replenishment methods based on established procedures and routes.
  • · Prepare materials from storage for the assembly line.
  • · Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
  • · Utilize material handling equipment effectively.
  • · Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills.
  • · Demonstrate time management and organizational skills to track inter-department deliveries and maintain schedules.
  • · Show exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • · Maintain attention to detail.
  • · Follow directions accurately.
  • · Possess clerical skills and basic computer proficiency.
  • · Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required.
  • · Exhibit physical stamina.
  • · A High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • · Experience with hand scanner guns in pick locations is advantageous.
  • · Experience in a self-directed role is beneficial.
  • · Ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.
  • · Familiarity with transacting in an ERP system is a plus.
