Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Progressive Vision Institute. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate and complete assessments of patient needs to provide supportive care before, during, and after procedures.
- Communicate pertinent information to co-workers and provide a safe environment for patients to prevent potential injury.
- Investigate and intervene in problem situations, reporting appropriate information to supervisors and documenting same.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment.
- Operate and troubleshoot specialized equipment and patient monitoring equipment.
- Anticipate and assist with maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and medications.
- Administer drugs and other therapeutic and diagnostic measures in a safe and accurate manner.
- Ensure informed signed consent is completed prior to administration of sedation.
- Provide guidance to other staff members assisting with orientation.
- Consult with appropriate supervisors or physicians as needed.
- Participate in performance improvement programs and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
- Must hold a current license from the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing to practice as a practical nurse.
- Experience in operating room preferred.
- Current BCLS is mandatory.
- Membership in local, state, and national societies is preferred.
