Job Summary

We are looking for a highly qualified Wound Care Physician and Advanced Practice Provider to provide wound care services in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and long-term care and rehabilitation hospitals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wound care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Provide wound care services to patients in long-term care facilities, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of wounds.
  • Collaborate with facility clinical staff to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Document patient encounters and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest wound care techniques and best practices.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, PA, CRNP degree.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible.
  • Active, unrestricted state medical license.
  • DEA license.
  • Valid driver license.
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with facility staff and patients.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with electronic medical records (EMRs).

What We Offer

  • Uncapped W-2 earning potential, directly proportionate to provider availability, EMR documentation, number of patient encounters per month, number of facilities covered, etc.
  • Instruments provided by AmeriWound, such as debridement kits & hurricane spray.
  • Wound Care/Treatment nurse to round with at each facility.
  • Company laptop provided w/ EMR Aprima.
  • Malpractice provided for both full and part-time providers.
  • Mileage reimbursement based on standard IRS guidelines.
