As a Research Scientist Associate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Key Skills:
    • Proven experience with HPLC/UPLC methodologies.
    • Familiarity with nanoparticle characterization techniques such as DLS, MALS-FFF, NTA, and encapsulation efficiency.
    • Experience in mammalian cell-based assays, including flow cytometry.
    • Proficiency in ELISA techniques.
    • Knowledge of downstream purification processes for biological molecules (AKTA, chromatography, TFF, viral filtration).
  • Role Overview: The Research Scientist Associate will contribute to the LNP Platform Development team, focusing on innovative LNP platform advancements aimed at gene editing. The role involves developing and executing analytical assays for LNP characterization while gaining insights into LNP process development methodologies. Collaboration with various teams engaged in diverse process development will be encouraged.
  • Core Responsibilities:
    • Conduct and troubleshoot analytical assays for LNP characterization (HPLC/UPLC, DLS, fluorescence-based methods).
    • Assist in designing and evaluating new analytical development assays for LNPs.
    • Establish protocols for analytical assays.
    • Manage sample flow, data collection, and analysis.
    • Optimize workflows for LNP attribute assessment.
    • Engage in lab maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Maintain detailed laboratory documentation.
    • Summarize and present findings in team meetings, contributing to discussions and strategic planning.
    • Prepare technical reports, protocols, and study memos.
  • Basic Qualifications:
    • STEM degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience; title and compensation will align with education, experience, and skill set.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Degree in biological or chemical engineering, biochemistry, or a related field.
    • Experience with mammalian cell-based assays and flow cytometry.
    • Familiarity with ELISA techniques.
    • Knowledge of downstream purification processes for biological molecules.
    • Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques.
    • Experience in the production and purification of LNPs.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay range: $65.52 /Per Hour
