Job Summary:

The Photonics Group is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality systems and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and Maintain Quality Systems: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive quality management system that meets the requirements of ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
  • Quality Compliance: Ensure that all products and services meet customer and regulatory requirements, and that quality objectives are communicated and achieved.
  • Material and Product Quality: Responsible for assuring the quality of materials and products at receipt and prior to shipment, and for implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Quality System Management: Develop, deploy, monitor, evaluate, maintain, and manage a comprehensive quality system that includes procedures, processes, and metrics.
  • Investigation and Resolution: Lead investigations into customer issues and resolve them in a timely and effective manner.
  • QCAR Status: Maintain and update the QCAR status, ensuring that all quality-related data is accurate and up-to-date.
  • ISO 9001 Program Management: Responsible for managing our ISO 9001 program, including OTI processes, equipment calibration, conformance to customer requirements, and customer satisfaction metrics.
  • ISO Project Management: Manage the annual ISO audit, ensuring that all necessary preparations are made and that the audit is conducted smoothly.
  • Quality Department Budget: Responsible for managing the Quality Department budget, ensuring that all expenses are justified and that the budget is aligned with business objectives.
  • Multi-Site Responsibility: Bring the quality management systems of recent acquisitions into alignment with our existing QMS.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Experience: 5 years of management experience in the manufacturing of electronic, optical, fiber, and semiconductor components, and 5 years as a QC Manager.
  • Skills: Ability to use basic SPC tools to collect data and evaluate product performance, ability to perform quality audits, knowledge of ISO, military, and industrial standards, and US citizenship or green card holder.
  • Travel: Up to 40% regional travel required.
