Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Research Intern, your primary duties will include:
- Assisting in research experiments within a designated area.
- Conducting laboratory analyses and supporting assay studies on various materials.
- Performing cell cultures and maintaining sterile techniques for bacterial and viral specimens.
- Securing necessary supplies and ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly.
- Preparing specialized instruments and monitoring devices for recording test outcomes.
- Maintaining laboratory records and accurately documenting patient information.
- Compiling and organizing research data to assist in the preparation of laboratory reports.
- Ensuring a clean and organized laboratory environment by adhering to safety protocols.
- Carrying out additional related tasks as needed.
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma with at least two years of accredited college coursework in a science-related field preferred.
Physical requirements include:
- Frequent typing and phone communication.
- General paperwork associated with research activities.
- Ability to kneel, reach, and demonstrate finger dexterity.
- Effective communication skills, including talking, hearing, and seeing.
