About the Role:

As a Speech Language Pathologist at Aequor, you will be responsible for educating patients and their family members about speech disorders, including their causes, whether related to disabilities, traumatic events, or other factors. You will maintain detailed records of student conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards. Additionally, you will report patient progress and current status to appropriate parties, including family members, teachers, or medical professionals, as needed. You will also participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings for students, contributing expertise to support each student's unique needs. Furthermore, you will consult with teachers, parents, or medical providers to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive support for patients. Your primary goal will be to provide rehabilitative assistance to help patients achieve their speech and communication goals, tailoring interventions to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech disorders.
  • Provide rehabilitative assistance to help patients achieve their speech and communication goals.
  • Maintain detailed records of student conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
  • Report patient progress and current status to appropriate parties.
  • Participate in IEP meetings for students.
  • Consult with teachers, parents, or medical providers to coordinate care.

Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of speech-related conditions, causes, and treatments.
  • Excellent coaching, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Attentive and caring, with the ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Speech Pathologist.
  • CCC-SLP Certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology).
  • Active [STATE] Speech Language Pathologist License in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist or in a similar role.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
