The Pre-Owned Vehicle Acquisition Specialist plays a crucial role in assessing and acquiring vehicles, ensuring fair market value, and facilitating the acquisition process through various channels.

This role requires a proactive approach to working with dealership customers to evaluate their vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma or GED, with prior experience in Internet or Business Development Center (BDC) roles being advantageous. Exceptional customer service skills, a friendly demeanor, and effective communication abilities are essential for success in this position. A self-driven attitude and the ability to meet sales targets consistently are also important.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales teams and management to assess vehicle needs and recommend appropriate disposal methods and pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to finalize vehicle purchases and manage appraisal processes.
  • Engage with current vehicle owners through various platforms to facilitate vehicle purchases.
  • Approach and interact with dealership customers to appraise and propose purchases for their vehicles.
  • Work alongside the maintenance team to evaluate whether repairs should be handled internally or outsourced.
  • Generate and analyze reports to evaluate the effectiveness of the purchasing and selling processes.
  • Identify opportunities for process enhancements to improve profitability and streamline operations.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints related to vehicle resale, determining company responsibility for repair costs.
  • Participate in additional projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience required; we are open to training the right candidate.
  • Experience in sales or BDC is a plus.
  • Strong negotiation skills are essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Professional demeanor with a positive attitude is a must.
  • Strong organizational abilities are necessary.
