Europa Village Winery and Resort is seeking an experienced Banquet Captain to provide hands-on direction, leadership, training, and support for the banquet team during assigned events and daily to maintain department readiness.
Key Responsibilities:- Train and develop employees to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality event execution.
- Facilitate a diverse and inclusive culture based on Company values and standards.
- Support all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Review and understand Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) at the beginning of each shift to ensure banquet rooms or areas are set as per instructions and client's request.
- Inspect table place settings, including table linen, china, glass, silverware, and condiments for correct placement and ensures each element is clean, undamaged, and attractive.
- Monitor banquet team members to ensure all operating procedures are followed.
- Supervise the handling, storage, maintenance, and security of all catering service equipment.
- Respond to guests' requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
- Ensure the entire table is served at the same time.
- Supervise clearing and post-event clean-up.
- Prepare summaries and reports for each event.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a banquet department with 20+ employees.
- Prior experience updating and implementing standard operating procedures.
- Experience managing departmental timekeeping and payroll knowledge of ADP Payroll services a plus.
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Europa Village Winery and Resort is a destination location in Temecula Valley Wine Country. We are a hospitality company rooted in family, and we welcome members and guests to enjoy a stay or a day in our European-themed villages. We represent the countries of Italy, Spain, and France and have multiple event spaces, tasting rooms, restaurants, overnight accommodations, and retail venues on our one-hundred-acre property.
This is an hourly position with a Company that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. A successful candidate must be available and willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
