Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Executive Chef/Director of Dining Services and Sous Chef to execute daily meal services for residents and guests.
- Manage daily room services and all dining room operations, ensuring a seamless experience for residents.
- Respond promptly to resident complaints, working with the Dining Service Manager and Executive Chef/Director of Dining Services to resolve issues.
- Represent the department positively, maintaining a polished appearance and adhering to uniform standards.
- Ensure proper training and productivity among servers, maintaining high standards of control.
- Plan daily dining room set-up, sections, service, and side-work based on resident meal counts.
- Follow up to ensure all tasks are completed, maintaining a like-new appearance in the dining room.
- Ensure team members attend service lineup and department in-service meetings.
- Oversee regular cleaning and maintenance schedules, addressing and reporting deficiencies and maintenance concerns.
- Assist with quarterly inventory of dining room items, ensuring proper storage and accounting.
- Maintain compliance with local and state laws, policies, and procedures, being available for tours and answering questions from surveyors.
- Working knowledge of the industry, including clinical diets.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation.
- Professional communication skills, including verbal and listening skills.
- Self-motivation, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
- Senior living or healthcare experience preferred.
- Fine dining experience a plus.
