Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing radiologic exams with two certified modalities to meet the needs of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiologic exams in Diagnostic X-Ray and Computed Tomography to produce high-quality imaging for diagnostic or interventional purposes.
  • Operate complex medical imaging equipment, including administering contrast materials where applicable.
  • Perform clerical duties in RIS, PACS, and hospital computer systems as needed.
  • Participate in weekend schedule coverage and on-call schedule where applicable.
  • Directly supervise and assist affiliated radiography students.
  • Follow all QA/QC guidelines for all equipment.
Requirements
  • 1 year of experience in the primary imaging modality is required, 1 year of experience in the secondary modality preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital setting is preferred.
  • Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology is required.
  • Certified with ARRT in Diagnostic X-ray and Computed Tomography is required.
  • Licensed/certified to practice in the specific state of employment is required.
