The 16-bed Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit at Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is a dynamic and supportive environment where you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of intermediate-level patients, including post-CABG/Cath Lab patients, respiratory, and complicated GI patients.
The culture on this unit is built on a strong sense of teamwork, support, education, empowerment, and fun. We are proud to actively precept nursing students from several institutions, most of whom graduate and return to the team as an RN.
Requirements- Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate, or baccalaureate degree nursing program required.
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in an acute care setting required.
Methodist Hospital Stone Oak is a 280-bed hospital that offers a wide range of services, including emergency care, general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, neonatology, oncology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and acute rehab services.
We are accredited by the Joint Commission as a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center, and our stroke rehabilitation program has received the Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for Disease-Specific Care Certification of Stroke Rehabilitation.
