Job Title: Production Planning Specialist

Hino Motors Manufacturing USA, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Production Planning Specialist to join our team in Mineral Wells, West Virginia.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to administer controls of the Production Control Operations and drive continuous improvement of scheduling processes, inventory control, and on-time delivery and costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage domestic and overseas parts procurement while maintaining inventory at optimum levels.
  • Facilitate setup and ordering of new parts.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with suppliers for reconciling orders, resolving discrepancies, and expediting orders.
  • Lead negotiations with suppliers to ensure required part volume and timing are met.
  • Attend videoconferences as required.
  • Manage engineering changes for the lowest obsolescence.
  • Achieve all indicators of success and performance measures for area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrate leadership and commitment with respect to the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System as it applies to their area of responsibility.
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Position requires office presence.
  • Coordinate design requests with Suppliers.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of quality issues and proactive resolution to the issue.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, or related field or equivalent years of related experience is preferred.
  • Three years' experience or equivalent education in scheduling/procurement/production control.
  • Experience with production scheduling or parts procurement is preferred.
  • Experience with project management preferred.
Skills:
  • Knowledge of plan-making and project evaluation.
  • Strong MS Outlook and computer proficiency required.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment and under the pressure of deadlines.
  • Ability to work in or lead teams throughout decision-making process.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to present and explain complex data using visual and graphical representations.
  • Must be willing and able to perform a variety of tasks in support of the short- and long-term goals.
  • Deal effectively with complex and sensitive issues.
  • Ability to think in the abstract and see how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and data management skills.
  • Must be ambitious and able to work independently.
Travel Requirements:

Travel up to 15-20%.
