About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Moog Inc. in Mineral Wells, Texas. As a key member of our Military Aircraft Group, you will be responsible for planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring continuous material availability and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and act on MRP suggested actions to ensure continuous material availability and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Serve as the primary contact with suppliers to ensure efficient means of communication between Genesys and the supplier.
  • Initiate requests for quotes and proposals.
  • Evaluate and negotiate bids and proposals with suppliers.
  • Share responsibility with the quality department to evaluate, monitor, and address quality and performance with suppliers.
  • Manage purchase orders and supplier performance with respect to delivery schedules and compliance.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as programs, engineering, quality, planning, and operations.
  • Assist receiving/accounts payable in resolving receipt and invoice discrepancies.
  • Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency, and manage risk within the supply base.
  • Be responsible for driving cost savings and achieving departmental goals.
  • Recommend cost-saving proposals, including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical discipline or 5 years of related job experience in purchasing or procurement.
  • Experience planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of and/or use of current MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience working with computer desktop tools such as MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) to assist in the successful completion of essential duties.
