We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Information Security Administrator to join our team at North Carolina Agriculture & Technical State University. This is a senior security position that requires extensive technical expertise to design, build, and manage complex information security infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities- Identify cybersecurity and compliance requirements and develop controls to meet these requirements.
- Lead the implementation of these controls in new technology or existing systems.
- Assess technology to identify and address cybersecurity issues.
- Perform advanced technical work including forensics and ensure that containment, eradication, and recovery tasks are completed successfully and in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with network, system, and security staff in other departments and provide technical cybersecurity leadership.
- Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with three years experience directly related to the duties of the position.
- Significant technical knowledge of and experience with network, server, storage, endpoint, and cybersecurity systems.
- In-depth knowledge of information system, network, and cybersecurity architecture.
- Knowledge of common network protocols and technology systems from leading vendors.
- Knowledge of information security standards and their incorporation into technology systems design.
- Ability to act independently with little or no guidance and use effective problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated project management experience and excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to write scripts to automate processes.
