Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Imaging Systems Administrator to join our team at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for the operations and network management of one or more Imaging system(s) for one or multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily computer operations, equipment interfaces, and implementation of software upgrades and maintenance of systems.
  • Identify, evaluate, analyze, troubleshoot and recommend changes in support of assigned applications and systems.
  • Support the planning, design, development, build, or configuration of supported applications and systems.
  • Coordinate conversions, application and system testing and documentation of system procedures.
  • Participate in training design and development, and assist in training execution related to assigned projects.
  • Work in partnership with IT, and serve as a liaison between management, staff, physicians, and vendors for routine matters.
Requirements
  • Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.
  • Three years experience in Information Technology, Imaging System Administration (PACS) preferred, or three years clinical experience as an Imaging Technologist.
  • Must have one of the following certifications: ARRT, NMTCB, ARDMS, or CCI.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Imaging Informatics Professional (ABII) - through the Society of Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles.
  • Ability to work independently, and handle challenging / difficult diagnostic procedures and patient care situations.
