Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians during physical exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
- Prepare charts for outside physicians, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Support staff with scheduling appointments, requesting medical information, and performing various administrative tasks.
- Obtain authorizations or referrals as needed, maintaining accurate records and communication with patients and providers.
- Take vital signs, complete patient history, and document medication information, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records.
- Perform point-of-care testing, phlebotomy, and specimen collection, as well as assist with basic routine tests and procedures.
- Maintain clinical equipment, reporting any issues or concerns to management.
- Operate equipment safely and competently, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Enter patient data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as requested by providers, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Accurately document point-of-care results, ensuring charges are sent by the close of business.
- Answer patient phone calls, screen messages, and communicate information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Restock and prepare exam rooms for the next day, maintaining a clean and organized environment.
- Travel between sites may be required based on coverage needs.
