Role Summary

We are in search of a highly proficient and seasoned Lead Salesforce Solutions Architect to engage in diverse external projects. This position will be crucial in architecting, deploying, and sustaining Salesforce solutions that promote business advancement and operational efficiency. As a Lead Salesforce Solutions Architect, you will take charge of defining the comprehensive architecture and design for a Salesforce environment, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise systems while maintaining scalability, performance, and security. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project managers, developers, and other IT professionals to deliver robust and scalable solutions that align with our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Architectural Design and Strategy

  • Formulate and communicate the overarching Salesforce architecture strategy in line with business goals.
  • Establish technical solutions and architectural standards, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Lead the assessment and selection of new Salesforce features and tools to enhance our technological ecosystem.

2. Solution Development and Execution

  • Design comprehensive Salesforce solutions, encompassing data models, integration, and migration strategies.
  • Provide technical leadership in the configuration and customization of Salesforce solutions.
  • Oversee the creation of intricate applications on the Salesforce platform utilizing Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies.

3. Integration and Data Governance

  • Devise and implement robust integration solutions between Salesforce and other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, Marketing Automation, etc.).
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance within Salesforce, implementing suitable data management strategies.
  • Lead data migration initiatives from legacy systems to Salesforce.

4. Technical Leadership and Collaboration

  • Mentor and guide junior Salesforce developers and administrators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other IT professionals, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Salesforce, providing technical guidance and best practice recommendations.

5. Performance Optimization and Security

  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Salesforce applications to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement and uphold security best practices, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits of the Salesforce environment.

6. Documentation and Governance

  • Maintain thorough documentation of the Salesforce architecture, design, and implementation processes.
  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks to ensure consistent and effective use of the Salesforce platform.
  • Stay informed about Salesforce releases, features, and best practices, ensuring our solutions leverage the latest innovations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Salesforce architecture, design, and development.
  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Architect in large-scale enterprise environments.
  • Salesforce Architect Certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified Technical Architect, Application Architect, System Architect) is highly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of Salesforce architecture, including data modeling, integration patterns, and security best practices.
  • Proficient in Salesforce development languages and tools (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, SOQL, etc.).
  • Experience with Salesforce integration tools and techniques (Mulesoft, REST/SOAP APIs, ETL tools).
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing principles and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools for Salesforce (Salesforce DX, Git, Jenkins).

Soft Skills

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring and guiding technical teams.
