Job Opportunity

Sargent Electric Company, a leading electrical contracting company, is seeking an experienced Site Safety Coordinator to join their team. As a Site Safety Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for employees and clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day direction and leadership to eliminate or reduce at-risk environments and behaviors in the workplace.
  • Assist management and supervision in inspecting workplaces to ensure safe and healthful conditions for employees.
  • Conduct training related to OSHA construction standards and the Sargent Electric Safety Program.
  • Investigate accidents to discover root causal factors and implement action items to avoid reoccurrence.
  • Onboard new employees and assume additional duties as delegated by Sargent Electric Management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety and Health or a related field.
  • Fluency in CFR 1910/1926.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a safety management role.
  • Familiarity with hazards associated with electrical installations.
  • Strong planning, prioritizing, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • OSHA 500 Outreach Instructor certification.
  • CHST, CUSP, ASP, CSP certifications.
