Job Summary

University Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled EMS Education Coordinator to join our team. As an EMS Education Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and teaching EMS courses, developing educational programs, and assisting with civic and corporate health fairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Course Coordination: Coordinate and teach EMS courses, including EMT, Advanced, and Paramedic Refresher Courses, as well as AHA Courses such as Heart Saver, BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Program Development: Assist in the development of courses and presentations as needed, and participate in other educational programs and meetings as deemed necessary by the EMS Institute Director or Manager.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Set up and provide maintenance to basic equipment used in education courses and programs.
  • Tracking and Data Collection: Perform tracking and data collection as needed.
  • Qualifications and Certifications: Ensure that all qualifications and certifications are up-to-date, including OH Driver's License and State of Ohio Paramedic certification.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Equivalent / GED (Required), Associate's Degree (Preferred)
  • Work Experience: 3+ years municipal Fire/EMS experience (Required)
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: EMS-I (Required proficiency), AHA Instructor (Required proficiency), detail-oriented and organized, with good analytical and problem-solving ability (Required proficiency), notable client service, communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills (Required proficiency)
