Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Technician to join our team at Sierra Medical Center. As a Critical Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing indirect patient care and assigned tasks in the department setting under the direct supervision of the Critical Care RN.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor ECG signals at the central monitoring station and notify the RN immediately about any arrhythmias.
  • Maintain logbooks in the department, including refrigerator temperature, negative pressure room, and patient admission/discharge records.
  • Coordinate unit activities with the Charge Nurse to ensure a logical and systematic approach to managing activities.
  • Reflect knowledge and judgment in decisions and actions within the job description of the unit coordinator.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Monitor tech certificate (if not certified upon hire, must obtain during initial orientation).
  • Certified Nursing Assistant.
  • BLS certification.
