Job Overview

RSC Energy is seeking a skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipe systems onboard US Navy vessels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform layout, fabrication, installation, testing, and repair of pipe systems
  • Fabricate and prepare pipe joints for welding to meet specific system requirements
  • Work from blueprints and create fabrication sketches for pipe units
  • Lay out and calculate offset bends and rolling offset bends
  • Design and fabricate pipe hangars
  • Test piping systems for air and water
  • Conduct safe shipyard practices and adhere to industry codes and regulations

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of marine pipefitter experience as a first-class pipefitter
  • Nuclear or Power plant experience
  • Able to read and interpret ship piping drawings
  • Experience fitting carbon steel, CRES, and copper nickel piping
  • Qualified to end prep piping by hand and/or with mechanical hand tools

Working Environment:

Candidates will work onboard US Navy vessels, installing new piping systems and repairing and replacing existing pipe systems. They will also work with various piping systems, including hot and cold potable water, air, and gas, fuel, hydraulic, and CHT systems.
