Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychiatrist to join our team at Broughton Hospital. As a Forensic Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, including competency restoration treatment, and serving as a team leader for a multi-discipline treatment team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initial psychiatric assessment and diagnosis of patients upon admission
  • Development of comprehensive treatment plans
  • Serve on medical staff committees
  • Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of an inpatient unit
  • Provide competency re-evaluations to determine an individual's capacity to proceed to trial
Requirements
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the State of North Carolina
  • Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of psychiatry residency
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry
