Job Summary

The Electrophysiology Technician will play a crucial role in the Cardiac Cath Lab team by participating in and assisting with Electrophysiology procedures. This individual will demonstrate technical proficiency and advance knowledge of cardiac structures, anatomy, and physiology to ensure accurate assessment and data collection.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in Electrophysiology procedures, including diagnostic studies and interventional procedures
  • Monitor and record patient data, including cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic parameters
  • Assist in the setup and maintenance of equipment, including electrophysiology machines and monitors
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
  • Participate in training and education of new staff members
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Two years of full-time invasive cardiovascular technology experience or equivalent
  • Associate degree or equivalent college hours in health, science, or related field, and one year of invasive cardiovascular technology experience
  • Baccalaureate degree in health, science, or related field, and six months of invasive cardiovascular technology experience
  • Graduate of an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology
