Position Summary:

The Field Marketing and Engagement Intern is a paid internship role designed to bolster the successful Brand Activation and the implementation of the field marketing strategy at their assigned account. Collaborating closely with the Field Marketing team, the intern will develop and execute social media communications, marketing initiatives, promotional activities, and engaging events aimed at achieving specific objectives. This role will also assist the account leader in creative endeavors and in analyzing market trends and data to inform decisions that yield favorable outcomes. Furthermore, the intern will enhance engagement with the campus community through both digital interactions and live events.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Activation:

  • Collaborate with Field and Center Marketing teams to implement interactive marketing and promotional initiatives (such as pop-ups, demonstrations, tastings, etc.) and effective sales campaigns within budgetary constraints.
  • Partner with on-site management to devise impactful marketing campaigns and communications that address essential campus community needs.
  • Oversee the execution and engagement of social media strategies aimed at informing and captivating target audiences.
  • May develop both physical and digital marketing materials that align with brand standards to foster engagement on campus and across social media platforms.
  • Leverage insights from industry trends and feedback data to guide decisions that will drive targeted results.

Community and Client Engagement Support:

  • Serve as a student liaison to various campus departments and organizations, assisting with Dining Committee meetings or regular feedback sessions to gather guest insights.
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of the account's involvement in campus and community events to raise awareness of dining programs, boost auxiliary sales, and enhance brand perception.
  • Identify and escalate any client/account risks to the Manager while supporting mitigation strategies.
  • Assist the site leader with team member engagement activities that reflect guest engagement to bridge any gaps.

Qualifications:

  • Current university student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to absorb and apply new information effectively.
  • Capability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and technologically adept.
  • Possess a confident, outgoing, and friendly demeanor.
  • A proven team player.

Work Schedule:

This role requires a commitment during the academic semester, with hours per week to be agreed upon with the supervisor, spread over a minimum of two days per week. The schedule is adaptable to accommodate class commitments and other on-campus responsibilities.
