Vinfen is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Nurse to join our Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team. As a key member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for conducting psychiatric assessments, assessing physical health needs, and providing a range of treatment, rehabilitation, and support services.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of psychiatric history, mental status, and diagnosis, physical and dental health, use of drugs or alcohol, education and employment, social development and functioning activities of daily living, and family structure and relationships.
- Perform shift management in coordination with other PACT shift managers.
- Provide on-call crisis intervention.
- Manage pharmaceuticals and medical supplies in collaboration with team nurses.
- Coordinate, schedule, and administer medical assessments of persons served, physical health, make referrals to community physicians, and coordinate psychiatric treatment with medical treatment in collaboration with team Psychiatrist.
- Supervise other nurses on the team in the area of medical/medication issues.
- Five years direct experience in clinical program management, quality improvement, and supervision in a mental health setting.
- RN in Massachusetts required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's degree preferred. In some cases, experience may be substituted for education.
- A valid driver's license must be presented at the time of employment.
