Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Latham, The Pool Company. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all physical plant systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance schedule that incorporates input from equipment manufacturers and plant personnel.
  • Independent Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks independently, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and functioning within optimal parameters.
  • Vendor Management: Schedule and supervise third-party vendors as required, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of spare parts and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are readily available.
  • Training and Development: Train production employees in the start-up and calibration of equipment as required.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational certificate preferred.
  • Experience: 1 year of plant or facility maintenance experience required; experience in electrical/mechanical trades preferred.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of cranes, fork lifts, pumps, and compressors; strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for 8-10 hours; ability to perform heavy lifting, pushing, and pulling (approx. 30+ pounds).
  • Work Schedule: Ability to work overtime, off-shifts, and weekends as required.
