About the Role:

As a Chief Financial Officer in Training, you will be responsible for monitoring and controlling accounts receivables, overseeing Business Office functions, and ensuring cash collection goals are met. You will also be responsible for improving the profitability of the hospital, continually monitoring costs, and developing and monitoring policies and procedures to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduced hospital operating costs, and increased revenues.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control accounts receivables
• Oversee Business Office functions to ensure cash collection goals are met
• Improve the profitability of the hospital
• Continually monitor costs, especially staffing as it relates to patient volume
• Develop and monitor policies and procedures to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduced hospital operating costs, and increased revenues
• Prepare monthly financial statements, financial packages, reports, and analysis
• Provide reconciliations, account analysis, and other information for Reimbursement Department, Tax Department, Auditors, etc.
• Prepare annual budget in conjunction with UHS standards

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial role in an inpatient healthcare setting, Acute Care Hospital or behavioral health
• Minimum education requirement of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, Master's degree preferred
• Experience in multiple areas of healthcare finance and accounting required: AP/AR, payroll, accounting, business office, financial counseling, budgeting, etc.
