Responsibilities
Provide clinical services, including sick call, chronic care, and emergency care, based on evidenced-based medicine
Conduct daily visits to the infirmary, documenting patient encounters in the medical record as assigned
Adhere to approved formulary for therapeutic regimens and document pertinent observations and logical conclusions for non-formulary medication
Utilize in-house resources for treatment or resolution of identified problems and provide emergency treatment on-site
Support standards of medical care through adherence to existing policies and procedures
Participate in quality improvement measures, including sentinel event review and utilization review
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited program
Current license to practice in the state where facility is located
Certified in the scope of practice
Competent to perform responsibilities as defined by state's practice act
Maintains current CPR certificate
