We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled RF engineer to join our team at APL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative wireless communication systems.

About the Role
  • You will work closely with our cross-functional team to design, develop, and test wireless communication systems.
  • Experience with signal processing, RF engineering, and software defined radio (SDR) is highly desirable.
  • Responsibilities include researching new technologies, developing solutions to address evolving threats, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or another related field with at least ten years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree in one of the same fields of study with at least five years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in communication theory and digital signal processing (DSP), with a foundational knowledge of, and experience with, the physical, data link, or media access layers of communications systems.
  • Experience in modeling and simulation of the physical layer with MATLAB, Python, and/or other languages.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $173,000 based on experience and qualifications. This position is located at APL's main campus in Laurel, Maryland.
